Instagram is currently testing a feature in the United States that will allow small group of users to charge for their content from their loyal fans. Instagram users have the potential to earn money from ‘live videos’ and ‘stories.’ At present, Instagram is testing this feature only with 10 creators in the U.S. Through the subscription program, creators can choose their own price point to allow their fans to access their exclusive content. Google vows to ramp up regulation of adult ads in U.K
Google has said that it will improve the enforcement of adult ads in its search network in U.K after Reuters found that the search engine was flouting Britain’s laws on displaying adult ads on internet. Reuters found that Google was showing ads related to sex toys and alcohol to age sensitive groups, i.e. children and teens. As per the law in the U.K and European countries, online adult ads can only be shown to users falling in the age group of 18 and above.
