Google set to integrate Gemini AI into Google Workspace
Google on Tuesday announced that it is now making its AI chatbot Gemini AI available as a standalone app within its Google Workspace productivity suite. Gemini AI will be included in Google Workspace Business, Enterprise and Frontline plans. The users of these plans can use Google’s AI chatbot directly within several applications like Gmail, Docs, Sheets and more. They now won’t need an add-on to integrate Gemini into Workspace productivity suite. To increase the data security of the users, Google has introduced a new security feature ‘Security advisor’ that will ensure data security for organizations using Gemini AI chatbot.

OpenAI starts rolling out ChatGPT Advanced Voice Mode to ChatGPT Plus & Team users
After four months of wait, OpenAI is finally rolling out the red carpet for its humanlike voice assistant ‘ChatGPT Advanced Voice Mode (AVM).’ However, as part of its initial release, it will be available to only limited number of ChatGPT Plus and Team users in the US, with Enterprise and Edu customers likely to access in the coming weeks. AVM’s logo has also been overhauled as part of this roll out. The advanced voice assistant will now be represented with a blue animated sphere, rather than the black dot. In another important news, AVM now comes with five new voices that users can try, taking its total number of voices to 9.

Spotify’s AI Playlists feature is now available to premium users in US & other markets
Spotify’s AI Playlists, which allow users to create and edit playlists with simple text prompts, will be now expanded to premium users in the US, Canada, Ireland and New Zealand. When it was launched in April, it was made available only to users in Australia and UK. The company claims that this AI feature can turn your most amazing ideas into playlists. It can generate best results with prompts about genre, mood or artists. However, users can very well try other prompts to get best results. Spotify’s AI Playlists is essentially a personalization and customized feature, which means it creates playlists based on your listening habits.

Rip TikTok Music. ByteDance is shutting down its music streaming service
TikTok’s parent company ByteDance has announced that it is shutting down its music streaming service ‘TikTok Music’ in November. The service will remain active till November 28, after which the renewals will be automatically cancelled. Users who want refund need to submit their request by November 28. They can also transfer their playlist to other streaming services by October 28. They can use TikTok’s ‘Add To Music’ feature for transferring the playlist. Although ByteDance did not cite the reasons, but its low traction could have possibly led to its closure. TikTok Music was available only in limited markets like Indonesia, Brazil, Australia, Singapore and Mexico.

James Cameron, the director behind two of the biggest Hollywood blockbuster movies Titanic and Avatar, is joining the board of AI video platform Stability AI. This announcement marks a significant step in Stability AI’s pursuit to transform visual media by leveraging the cutting-edge AI technology. Cameron is known for revolutionizing the use of VFX in his movies and is often credited for raising the benchmark of special effects. Cameron’s in-depth knowledge about ‘VFX’ could certainly help Stability AI in creating efficient AI models in future. Stability AI is best known for its Stable Diffusion model, which as the company claims has surpassed 150 million downloads.
