Amazon Forays into encrypted messaging Biz

Amazon’s cloud business unit AWS announced on Friday that it is acquiring encrypted messaging app Wickr. The financial details of the deal were not announced. The company said in its official statement that Wickr will be integrated into AWS’s business.

Elon Musk and Jack Dorsey have agreed to discuss and talk to each other about bitcoin at an upcoming event that will solely focuses on cryptocurrency. The event has been named as ‘The B Word’ and has been scheduled to take place on July 21. This is probably for the first time that Musk and Dorsey have a joint conversation around crypto at a public.

Twitter temporarily bans Indian IT Minister’s account

Twitter on Friday temporarily blocked Indian IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad’s account, citing copyright violation. Although the blockade lasted for only few hours, it likely to add fresh fissure to the already frosty relationship between Twitter and Indian government. During the last few months, Twitter and the Indian government have been at loggerheads. The latter has especially accused Twitter of nurturing a bias against India’s ruling party – BJP.
