Amazon launches “The Hub” to cover last-feet delivery

Amazon has been going deeper into several virtual products. Be it cloud services like AWS or media content through its Amazon Prime exclusive shows. It has still not forgotten about its main identity of being an e-commerce firm. Therefore Amazon has launched “The Hub” services to further its operations in e-commerce and utilise its deep logistics abilities.

Amazon in its e-commerce domination game has once again launched another service quietly on the market called The Hub. It is a locker system that will be installed in multi-tenant buildings. The residents can receive their big packages and pick them whenever they have time to receive them. The vital thing is that the Amazon is offering this service not just for itself but also for anyone to any person.

Moreover, as a customer, you can pick up an item from any sender, any retailer, at any point in time. The services are open for anyone to make use of it. Furthermore, there is no need of retailer to send packages through it. Even your granny can send you items through “The Hub”.

Amazon has been experimenting with this type of service for long now. First, known as Amazon Lockers. These are located sparsely at various public locations. The retailers can drop the package at that particular place and the customer can pick it up from there.

Amazon has launched “The Hub” services to improve its last mile delivery issues. Most of all it is a mechanism to get close to the customer as much as possible. With “The Hub” Amazon has reached the last-feet delivery radius of its customers.

From all angles be it the underwater warehouse patent or in store restriction on product comparisons. Amazon has touched each point on its customer matrix. The drone delivery system is an another aspect of it. All of these efforts show how Amazon is tightening its control on the customers that it serves.
