Anthropic plays catchup with OpenAI by launching Enterprise Plan

With an aim to increase its customer base, Anthropic is rolling out a new subscription plan for its AI chatbot Claude, specifically aimed towards companies and enterprises. Under the new enterprise plan, companies will get more administrative control and enhanced security features. Companies will also get expanded 500 context window and native Github integration. At the fundamental level, Claude Enterprise plan will allow companies to upload proprietary company information into its AI chatbot, which paves way for many possibilities. From analyzing information, answering questions about it, developing professional graphic design to acting as AI assistant. Anthropic’s enterprise plan will directly compete with OpenAI’s ChatGPT Enterprise plan , which was launched last year (2023).

Safe SuperInetlligence, co-founded by OpenAI’s Ex Chief Scientist, raises $1 Bn

OpenAI’s former Chief Scientist Ilya Sutskever ‘s AI startup Safe SuperIntelligence, which aims to create superIntelligence AI system without compromising on safety, has raised $1 Bn from several investors. The newly founded startup currently has only 10 employees and is based in Palo Alto and Tel Aviv. It will use the funds to acquire computing power and hire more engineers and researchers. As per the Reuters, the new funding has valued Safe SuperIntelligence around $5 Bn. To refresh the memory, last year Sutskever was part of the group that rebelled against Sam Altman and voted to oust him out of the company. He eventually resigned from OpenAI after Altman was reinstated as the CEO.

Microsoft to conduct Copilot event on September 16th

Microsoft on Wednesday announced that its CEO Satya Nadella and Corporate Vice President of AI at work, Jared Spataro will be hosting Copilot event on September 16th. The event has been named as ‘the next phase of Copilot innovation’ and will be live streamed on LinkedIn. The event is likely to shed light on several new features of Copilot 365. Copilot 365 was launched early last year with slew of features, from creating responses, draft presentations to breaking down information. Its subscription price has been fixed at $360 per user annually.

Starlink retreats in Brazil, agrees to Block X

Elon Musk’s satellite internet company, Starlink, has decided to ease its ongoing tension with Brazilin Supreme Court by agreeing to block X, formerly known as Twitter. Last month, Brazil’s top court ordered a blanket ban on ‘X’ in the country on account of defying the court orders and non-payment of fees. Brazilian users hope to access X from Starlink’s internet service has now been shattered. By complying with the Supreme court order, Starlink has certainly been able to prevent its license from getting revoked and saved its business from getting affected. With X been shunted out, Musk probably didn’t wanted to face another setback in one of its key markets.

Instagram users can now comment on Stories

Instagram stories, which lasts only for 24 hours, will now get a comment feature. Until now the only way to interact with stories was through direct messages or DMs. However, the comment feature will make the interaction more visible and public. The comments can be activated or deactivated for any individual stories. Once activated, comments will be visible for anyone following the accounts. Comments will disappear with stories after 24 hours expiration time.  Users will receive the notifications when someone comments on their story.
