Apple threatens to sack employee over TikTok Viral Video

A TikTok viral video claiming that the data of a stolen iPhone is 100% safe unless it is unlocked can lead to sacking of an Apple employee.  Apple is reportedly angry over their hardware engineer Paris Cambell for responding to a query of an iPhone owner whose phone was stolen. In a viral TikTok video, Cambell is seen giving assurance to the owner that thieves cannot access the data of her iPhone as it is still locked and advised not to remove the Apple ID from the device. Although Cambell turned up as a savior, Apple seems to be least amused. This has been discovered by popular startup portal Entrackr. According to Entrackr, IQiyi did not do any big marketing or promotion before its launch in India and the launch was done almost silently. Entrackr also claimed that IQiyi may not be complying with many local laws and IT rules. Now it is to be seen whether IQiyi will be going the TikTok way. TikTok along with many other Chinese apps were banned by the Indian government almost two years back. iQiyi is listed in the New York Stock Exchange and counts Chinese tech giant Baidu as one of its investors.
