Logistics firm Shadowfax has announced that it will strengthen its technology team by hiring more than 50 technology experts and senior professionals. These hiring will be carried out in the span of next 2 years.
This development has come barely a week after media was flushed with reports that Flipkart is planning to start its hyperlocal services and the e-commerce major is likely to capitalize on Shadowfax for this soon to be launched vertical. Last year, Flipkart had pumped $60 Mn to acquire strategic stake in Shadowfax.
Although Shadowfax has shied away from making any connection between these two developments, the timing of these back-to-back developments cannot be overlooked.
About hiring, the logistics startup said that it is looking to hire backend developers, architects, development operations, Android experts and SDET. It may also hire senior professionals at Director level to meet its surging demands.
