OpenAI has rolled out a new feature for ChatGPT called ‘custom instructions.’ This new feature allows user to get more personalized and tailor-made responses for their prompts. For example, A developer could specify their preferred coding language in his prompt and ChatGPT would provide response in the same coding language. A user could even specify the tone of response they prefer, such as “formal” or “casual. However, the custom instructions feature is currently in beta version and it is only available to ChatGPT Plus subscribers. However, OpenAI may roll out this feature to all ChatGPT users in coming weeks.

Google is testing an AI tool that can instantly write news articles for journalists. The company has named the tool as ‘Genesis.’ It can help journalists in instantly generating headlines and helping them in strengthening their writing style. Reports claim that Google has given demo of this product to leading news organizations like The New York Times, The Washington Post and The Wall Street Journal. Google has clarified that its AI tool does not aim to replace journalists and make them jobless. Google is launching this tool at a time when news organizations are going through financially challenging times.

Tesla Share Drop Costs Elon Musk $20.3 Billion in Wealth

Elon Musk’s net worth fell by $18 billion on Thursday as Tesla stocks fell by 10% during intra -day trading on Wednesday. The sharp drop in the stock price came after Tesla released its second-quarter earnings report, which showed company’s revenue and profit growth slowed down in the quarter. After drop in Tesla’s stock price, Musk’s personal wealth now stands at around $238 billion. If Tesla’s stock price continues to slide in the coming days then Musk may once again lose the coveted title of being the world’s richest man. Notably, 60% of Musk’s net worth comes from his roughly 13% stake in Tesla.

Apple’s Stock Skyrockets on rumours over AI Chatbot

Apple’s shares on Wednesday surged briefly by almost 5% during intra-day trading before losing much of its gain and ending the day with flat 1% gain. The brief and sharp rise in Apple’s stocks came after Bloomberg published a report that the company is developing an AI chatbot. The reports sent investors into a frenzy, as they saw the potential for Apple to create a new revenue stream with the chatbot. Although Apple has not officially confirmed this speculative report, the news of Apple trying to develop an AI chatbot has made everyone excited.

Instagram services restored after major outage

Instagram is back online after a global outage that affected thousands of users around the globe. U.S and U.K were reportedly two countries that were most affected by the outage. The outage began around 19:00 PST on Thursday and lasted for about an hour. During the outage, users were unable to access the Instagram app or website. The outage comes just a few hours after WhatsApp, another Meta-owned platform, experienced a similar outage. It is not clear whether the two outages are related or connected. Meta said that it is investigating its two back-to-back outage incidents.
