ChatGPT’s Successful Operation needs lot of water
Water and Artificial Intelligence are two unlikely companions. But the fact is AI chatbots like ChatGPT needs lot of water for its successful operation. Turns out that ChatGPT has a data center in Altoona, Iowa. This data center uses a technique called immersion cooling to cool ChatGPT’s overheated server. According to University of California, ChatGPT gulps up 500 milliliters of water every time anyone ask a series of between 5 to 50 prompts. Needless to say, such high-consumption of water has a detrimental impact on our environment. Several experts are now arguing that the impact of AI on our environment need to be highlighted.

Meta plans to trains its LLM in Q1 2024
According to the Wall Street Journal, Meta is planning to start its new large language model (LLM) in the first quarter of 2024. Facebook’s parent company is hopeful that its new model will be as capable as OpenAI’s GPT-4, which is currently one of the most powerful LLMs in the world. The company has already started the process of acquiring Nivida’s H100 GPUs for the purpose of AI training. Meta’s new LLM will be most probably an open-source model and therefore available free for companies to build AI-powered tools. By building this model, Zuckerberg’s company wants to prove that its mettle in the world of AI, especially after falling behind in the AI race.

Roblox is finally coming to PlayStation. It will be available on both the PS4 and PS5 from October 2023. PlayStation fans have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of Roblox and the wait seems to be finally over now. Elon Musk’s X is suing California over Content Moderation
Elon Musk’s X Corporation is suing the state of California over AB 587, a state bill making it mandatory for social media platforms to inform state attorney about how are they tackling content moderation. X alleges that the bill complete violates federal and state free speech law. The company also said that moderating content isn’t as easy as it seems and it can’t be compelled by law to categorize certain speech or content as hate speech or fake news. It further said that there is no clear-cut consensus within the public domain what really constitutes hate speech and misinformation.
