Disney Surpasses Streaming Milestone with 100 Mn paying subscribers
Disney+ streaming service has signed up more than 100 Mn paying subscribers across the world, the company announced on Tuesday. The company has managed to achieve this milestone within 16 months of the launch of its streaming services. For Disney, the ‘streaming services’ has evidently become an important business vertical especially in the wake of COVID-19 lockdown. Disney also said on Tuesday that it hopes to re-open California theme park to limited attendance in late April. Disney’s theme park have been closed for almost a year due to COVID-19.

MoneyGram and Ripple’s Partnership ends: Report
Distributed ledger company Ripple announced on Monday that its tie-up with money transfer company Moneygram has come to an end. Ripple’s CEO Brad Garlinghouse announced the news on the official blog post. Ripple and MoneyGram’s partnership goes back to June 2019 with the latter agreeing to use the digital asset XRP as part of its foreign exchange settlement process.

DropBox to buy DocSend for $165 Mn
DropBox announced on Tuesday that it will acquire document sharing startup DocSend for whopping $165 Mn. DocSend basically helps customers in sharing and tracking documents by sending a secure link instead of an attachment. Before this, DropBox’s last big acquisition was that of HelloSign, which it had acquired in 2019 for $230 Mn.

NASA’s first all electric airplane is ready for rigorous testing
Almost two weeks back, NASA had said that it will start the rigorous testing of its first electric plane – the X57 Maxwell. This ground breaking testing is supposed to take place in NASA’s Armstrong Flight Research Center in California. The testing will mark NASA’s bold effort to switch from traditional combustion engine to ‘electric motors’ to cope with greenhouse and global warming problem.
