Early stage investor Elevation Capital (formerly known as Saif Partners) announced on Tuesday that it has promoted its partner Mukul Arora to the position of co-managing partner. Arora will now co-lead the VC firm along with Ravi Adusumalli, who also holds the position of co-managing partner at the firm.
Elevation Capital made the news official on its Twitter handle.
Arora joined Elevation Capital in the year 2010 as associate partner. Since then he has been steadily climbing the ladder in the firm, from becoming a Vice President in 2013 to becoming a partner in 2016. The latest promotion puts him in the helm one of the most sought after VC firms in the country.
Arora’s promotion has come at a time when Elevation Capital is reportedly planning to raise funding corpus of worth $600 Mn.
Mukul Arora has helped Elevation in making investment in some of the fastest growing internet startups of the country. This includes Meesho, Swiggy, Spinny, Unacademy and Xepressbees. He also helped the firm in making a profitable partial exit from Swiggy and unacademy.
Elevation Capital handles assets of over $2 Bn in India. It was one of the early investors in Paytm, which went public last year.
