Elon Musk claims his new company XAI will be more trustworthy than OpenAI

Elon Musk has claimed that his new artificial intelligence-based company XAI will be more honest and upright in its practice than OpenAI. Accusing OpenAI of being biased, Musk claimed that xAI will be more open about its algorithms and data, which would allow people to make more informed decision about whether or not to trust it. Musk also said that xAI will be trained to align with human values like truth, fairness, and safety. Additionally, Musk further claimed that xAI’s primary goal is to understand the universe and not just to make money or earn profit.

Wix’s new tool can create an entire website based on AI Prompts

Online website builder Wix has announced that its users can now create an entire website with the help of simple prompts. Users have to type just few prompts and Wix will create everything for you automatically – right from the design to text to images. Wix will use artificial intelligence technology for this purpose. It will use ChatGPT as well as its own AI tools to accomplish this task. This new feature will be called ‘Wix AI’ and is likely to be officially launched globally in coming weeks.

Apple iPhone from 2007 sold for whopping $190,000 at auction

A first-generation iPhone from 2007 has been sold for whopping $190,000 at an auction in the U.S. This iPhone is reported to be one of the few remaining unopened and unpacked first-generation iPhones in the world. The auction was held by LCG Auctions, a company that is known for  auctioning rare and collectible items. Most people has claimed that this iPhone won’t fetch more than $100,000 during the auction but sold for more than three times that amount. The identity of the owner who bought this iPhone is still not known.

Meta’s Threads to use rate limits to control spam attack

 

Meta’s Threads, which was launched barely 10 days back, announced on Monday that it will be using rate limits to control spam attacks. This means Threads will restrict users how many posts users can view and send in a certain period of time. As per this rate limit, Threads users will be limited to viewing only 200 posts per hour and can send only 100 messages per hour. Users who are found to be sending spammy content will have their rate limits increased.  Interestingly, few days back Elon Musk’s Twitter had also announced the decision of rate limit in order to control spammy content on its platform.

Tesla directors pay $735M to settle claim over excess compensation

Tesla’s directors have agreed to pay $735 million to settle a lawsuit that was filed in 2020. The lawsuit, which was filed by the Police and Fire Retirement System of the City of Detroit, accused that few Tesla directors had awarded themselves unfair and excessive compensation in the form of around 11 million stock options. These directors have officially denied any wrongdoing but agreed to settle the lawsuit to avoid any further financial damage in the future.
