Meta has told Facebook Messenger users that its Apple Watch version won’t be available after May 31st. Meta said that while users will continue to receive message notifications after the aforementioned date, they won’t get the option to respond. Meta, back then known as Facebook, had launched Messenger for the Apple Watch in 2015. The app, however, couldn’t offer text responses but allowed users to send audio-clips and stickers. The departure of Facebook messenger will mark the exit of another high-profile app from Apple. The move also marks the deteriorating relation between Meta and Apple ever since the latter announced a new privacy policy.
