Tesla’s CEO Elon Musk has dethroned Amazon’s founder Jeff Bezos to become the richest man in the world. With the substantive jump in Tesla’s stock price during the last few hours, Musk’s personal wealth has surpassed that of Bezos. According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Musk’s current wealth stands at eye-popping $135 Bn, $10 Bn more than Bezos’ current value.

Twitter unlocks Trump’s account while Facebook remains adamant about the blockade

Barely hours after the controversial fiasco in the Capitol building, Twitter decided to give an olive branch to Donald Trump by unlocking his account. Immediately after unblocking, Trump came out with concessional statement as he promised a smooth transition of power. However, Trump got no respite from Facebook as the social media giant said that Trump’s Facebook and Instagram account will remain banned for next two weeks. Mark Zuckerberg left no stone unturned in targeting Trump. Zuckerberg wrote “The shocking events of the last 24 hours clearly demonstrate that President Donald Trump intends to use his remaining time in office to undermine the peaceful and lawful transition of power to his elected successor, Joe Biden.”

Boeing has been charged $2.5 Bn fine for ‘lying’

Aviation giant Boeing has been criminally charged $2.5 Bn fine for lying to the Federal Aviation Department. This billion dollar fine pertains to 737 MAX crashes that took place in 2018 and 2019. Out of $2.5 Bn fine, $243.6 Mn fine has been labeled as criminal monetary penalty while $1.77 Bn will be paid to airlines and $500 Mn will go to funds to help families of people who died in the crash.

Apple adds more Ex-Tesla Executives as it gets dead serious about electric vehicle project

A report published in Bloomberg has claimed that Apple has hired ex-Tesla executives for its ongoing Apple car project. Jonathan Sive (a former Vehicle Engineer at Tesla) and Stuart Bowers (Former Tesla Vice President) are among the top ex-Tesla executives that Apple has hired. But despite these hiring, Apple may still take 5-7 years to bring its electric car in the market. Apple, as is expected, has chosen to remain tight-lipped over its electric car project.

Chinese Search Engine Giant Baidu plans to manufacture electric vehicles

Just as Apple has set crazy rumors about its electric vehicle project, Baidu has also added to these rumors now. According to unconfirmed reports, the Chinese search giant is planning to enter joint venture with Chinese automotive company Geely for manufacturing electric vehicles. Baidu will reportedly own the majority stake in the joint venture company.
