Elon Musk launches a new AI based company called ‘xAI’
After founding highly successful innovative companies like Tesla and SpaceX, Elon Musk on Wednesday found yet another company. Known as ‘xAI,’ this company will employ some of the brightest minds in the field of artificial intelligence from companies like OpenAI, DeepMind, Microsoft and Twitter. However, xAI won’t manufacture any product or service. Rather its true aim is to understand the true nature of the universe. But the company’s official website does not divulge much information how it plans to achieve this. Musk has promised that he plans to share more information in a live Twitter Spaces chat about his new company.

FTC says it will appeal to cancel Microsoft-Activision Deal
The Federal Trade Commission or FTC isn’t giving up on its attempt to block the $69 Bn Microsoft-Activision deal. The FTC has filed a notice of appeal against the U.S federal judge’s decision to give approval to the deal. This decision comes barely 24 hours after the U.S district court in Northern California ruled in the favor of two companies Microsoft and Activision. The FTC’s decision to file for an appeal will create yet another hurdle for this high-profile acquisition deal. Most experts claim that the outcome of the case could have a major impact on the future of the video gaming industry.

Bill Gates says ‘Humans should not be afraid of AI’
Microsoft founder and billionaire Bill Gates has stated in one of his recent blogs that the prediction of doomsday due to AI technology seems exaggerated and overblown. The famous billionaire said that although the risks associated with AI needs to be acknowledged but not at the cost of some of the transformative changes that this technology promises to offer. Chinese hackers breached U.S government’s email accounts, Microsoft claims
Tech giant Microsoft on Wednesday made a shocking revelation that the Chinese hacking group, known as Storm-0558, managed to exploit a flaw in Microsoft’s cloud email service to gain unauthorized access to the e-mail accounts of around 25 organizations, including U.S. government agencies. Microsoft further claimed that this hacking group is affiliated with the Chinese government and has targeted organizations in several countries in Europe and Asia. The U.S government agencies have been targeted by Chinese and Russian hackers in the past including in 2015 and 2020.
