Elon Musk, the tech billionaire who possibly tweets on every issue under the sun, recently tweeted something very interesting about TikTok. The Tesla CEO asked his followers on Twitter whether TikTok is destroying civilization? This tweet from Musk was in response to the media reports that some Chinese engineers are able to access the data of TikTok’s American users. But mind you, this particular tweet came just days after Musk praised TikTok for being far more engaging than other social media platforms. In fact, he even hinted that TikTok should take inspiration from TikTok.

Google launches Offline Gmail Service

Now you can check out your Gmail inbox and even dispatch mail from your Gmail account without internet connection. Yes, you’ve heard it right. You no longer need an internet connection for reading and sending mails from your Gmail. Google has just launched an offline Gmail service. However, you can access this new revolutionary service only on Google Chrome and not other web browsers like Mozilla Firefox or Safari. Besides, users cannot use offline g-mail service in the incognito mode.

Meta launches Meta Pay – a Digital Wallet for Metaverse

Slowly but steadily Mark Zuckerberg’s company is taking a formidable step in the launch of its highly anticipated Metaverse platform. Meta Pay being the latest step in that direction. Meta Pay will apparently play a crucial role in helping Meta in monetizing the Metaverse platform. As and when Metaverse becomes immensely popular, users can use Meta Pay for buying and selling properties and other tools on Meta’s Metaverse platform. But realistically speaking, it will take another 5-6 years before Metaverse starts enjoying a mass popularity.

Google takes a bet on yet another Indian startup      

Tech Giant Google has further deepened its presence in the Indian startup industry. This after Google participated in a $40 Mn funding in the Delhi based startup Progcap. VC giants and existing investors including Tiger Global and Sequoia Capital also participated in the round. Progcap provides affordable debt capital to small and micro businesses. Till date, Google has invested in a slew of Indian startups including Dunzo, Dailyhunt, Freshworks, Dotpe and Drivezy.

Donald Trump’s very social media app Truth Social, which was launched earlier this year with a bang, is facing a legal investigation in the U.S. According to media reports, Truth Social’s SPAC company is facing investigation for receiving funds from a shell company. This news will come as a blow for Donald Trump’s plan to take Truth Social’s SPAC company public later this year. Trump had to launch Truth Social app after he was permanently dumped off from all the social media platforms following violence in the capitol hill.
