Elon Musk summons Twitter’s Ex-CEO Jack Dorsey as legal case Flares up
Elon Musk’s legal team has sent a summon to Twitter’s former CEO Jack Dorsey, marking a latest development in the ongoing legal tussle between Musk and Twitter. This means that Dorsey will have to attend in person in the Delaware court when the case officially begins in October. Musk’s legal team is essentially seeking a set of important documents from Dorsey to ascertain the exact number of spam accounts on Twitter. Although Dorsey had resigned from Twitter’s CEO position in November last year, he was in the helm of the affair for several years. Therefore, it is not really surprising that Musk’s legal team has sent summons to Dorsey over the matter of spam accounts.

Get ready for podcast on YouTube?
Google owned YouTube has launched a dedicated section for podcasts but it has done this in a rather very secretive manner. According to 9to5 Google, Youtube has launched a dedicated podcast page called ‘Explore Page’ in a beta mode and only few people can currently access this page in their mobile and desktop version. If YouTube does enter the podcast space in a full-fledge manner then it will directly compete with established players like Apple Podcast and Spotify. However, there is no clarity over the fact that if YouTube enters the podcast space then what will happen to Google Podcast. Google has been running its own dedicated podcast platform ‘Google Podcast’ for many years now.

Zomato pulls back Hrithik Roshan ad amid backlash (here’s why)
Foodtech delivery platform Zomato has been forced to withdraw its latest ad featuring Hrithik Roshan for allegedly hurting the Hindu sentiments. This ad assumed controversy after priests of famous Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjan took offense over Hrithik Roshan expressing the word ‘Mahakal’ in a particular dialogue. The priests said that the use of the word ‘Mahakal’ in the ad brought a bad name for Mahakaleshwar Temple and hurt the sentiments of Hindu community. Scores of Twitter users also trolled the foodtech company for allegedly hurting religious sentiments. Sensing the backlash, Zomato immediately withdrew the ad and clarified that it has no intentions of hurting religious sentiments.

Indian government issues security warning for Google Chrome users
Google Chrome users be aware. The CERT-IN, which comes under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, has just issued a threat warning to the Google Chrome users. The agency said that it has detected multiple vulnerabilities in the popular browsing platform that could allow remote hackers to target their computer system. However, mind you, this security advisory is meant for only those who are using older version of Google Chrome. Hence if you’re using older version of Chrome then it is time to update your Chrome as soon as possible.

Four out of five smartphones used in India are manufactured by the Chinese companies like Vivo, Oppo and Xiaomi, according to industry report prepared by The Counterpoint research. This report went on to claim that Chinese smartphone companies own almost 79% of the market share in India’s smartphone market as of June 2022. What is really surprising that Chinese companies have continued their domination despite the recent crackdown by the Indian government.
