It turns out that Elon Musk may already have a backup plan in case if he is not forced to buy Twitter. One of his Twitter followers recently asked if he plans to start his own social media platform if the Twitter deal does not fall through. To this question, Musk replied with a cryptic tweet by simply tweeting ‘X.com.’ Now it turns out that ‘X.com’ was the name of the startup that Musk had started in 1999 and was eventually merged with PayPal. Now this interesting cryptic tweet has come at a time when Tesla CEO is locked in an intense legal battle with Twitter. This legal battle is all set to start in October this year.

Gmail now won’t spam American politicians’ emails

The world’s most popular email service Gmail has decided to give a ‘privilege exception’ to American politicians. Google has said that it will allow Democratic and Republican politicians to apply for a program that will make their emails exempted from its spam detection system. This means that going forwards their outgoing mails will land only in the recipient’s main inbox. This will obviously prove to be a great advantage for American politicians especially during the election campaign. Mass Emails, by the way, have also proved to be an important tool for U.S. politicians for reaching out to their voters for marketing their political messages or new schemes.

FBI raids Donald Trump’s Florida Home

In an unprecedented event, earlier this week former U.S. president Donald Trump’s private resort was raided by the FBI. Although the exact reason for this raid is still not known, this raid has caused a huge political controversy back in the U.S. Several Republican senators including Trump have termed this raid as an act of political vendetta. The former U.S president said that he won’t take any political action against him lying down. Many Republican senators have also accused the Biden government and Democrats of hatching a malicious conspiracy against Trump. Last year, Trump and Biden were involved in a bitter U..S election campaign, which Trump obviously lost.

TikTok’s parent company acquires China’s top hospital chain

Bytedance, the parent company of the popular short video app TikTok, has just bought one of China’s largest hospital chains for nearly $1.5 Bn. Until this deal, these hospital chains were operated by the Chinese company called Amcare Healthcare. With this acquisition, Bytedance has consolidated its position in the healthcare sector. The TikTok’s parent company had forayed into the healthcare sector in 2020 as part of its diversification strategy. This is the biggest tech deal in China ever since the Chinese government started a nationwide crackdown against the big tech companies like Tencent, Alibaba and JD.com.
