Facebook launches an experimental app for couples

Facebook surprised everyone on Tuesday by launching a new app completely dedicated to ‘couples.’ The app is called ‘Tuned.’ Nope, it is not a dating app but an app that is meant to streamline the communication problem between the couples. Currently, this small experimental app will be available for download only in the US and Canada, according to the reports. The Tune app admittedly has arrived at an interesting time as today millions of couples find themselves locked inside their homes.

Jack Dorsey to donate whopping $1 Bn for COVID 19

Jack Dorsey, CEO of Twitter as well as digital payment platform Square, announced on Twitter that he has created a small relief fund for COVID 19. But the more important news is that he will be making enormous amount of charity donation, giving away as much as $1 Bn to the fund named as ‘Start Small Foundation.’ This enormous charity amount would be sourced from Square’s equity, according to the reports. Now considering that Dorsey is not as rich as Mark Zuckerberg or Bill Gates, his $1 Bn charity amount looks more than impressive.

WeWork Sues SoftBank for terminating $3 Bn bailout deal

In an expected move, WeWork on Tuesday dragged its biggest investor –Softbank – to the court in the aftermath of the collapse of the rescue deal. In the lawsuit, the co-working company accused its largest investor of putting its own interest first while terminating the $3Bn bailout deal last week.  Softbank, on other hand, cited ongoing investigation into the co-working company for terminating the deal. The lawsuit adds a fresh chapter to the troubled company’s never-ending saga of crisis, which actually began after its botched up IPO last year.

Sony is yet to officially launch PlayStation 5 but on Tuesday the company unveiled the all new controller for its next generation gaming console.  Labeled as the DualSense, this controller brings with it some real big changes; not just on the design but also on the front of configuration.  For instance, this gaming controller comes with an integrated microphone, a unique feature that Sony is trying for the first time for its PlayStation controller.

Amid the coronavirus lockdown, Netflix on Tuesday rolled out slew of parental control features. These features give parents a great degree of control on what their kids can or not watch. Parents can now check what their kids are watching and block specific shows as well as set profile to ensure that their kids view only specific content.
