GoDaddy conducts secret phishing test on employees
Learning from its previous bad experiences of phishing scams, GoDaddy decided to conduct a secret phishing test on its employees. Almost two weeks back, the domain registration company sent e-mails to scores of employees, informing them that they can avail $650 holiday by filling the details enlisted in the e- mail. It turned out that scores of employees did share the details in a hope to avail the holiday bonus. In a matter of few days, GoDaddy sent another mail to their employees to disclose that the mail promising holiday bonus was actually part of the phishing test. The company said that nearly 650 employees failed in the phishing test (source).

Bloomberg acquires data analytics startup ‘Second Measure’
Global media and data analytics conglomerate Bloomberg has acquired data analytics startup ‘Second Measure.’ The financial details of the deal have not been disclosed. Second Measure is a self-serve analytic platform that supports real-time tracking by using data from billions of anonymized transactions. The latest acquisition will help Bloomberg in further unlocking its data insight capabilities. ‘Second Measure’ had raised $25 Mn in a series A round last year.

April Christina Curley, an black ex-Googler, has leveled fresh racism charges on the search giant. Curley has disclosed on her Twitter account that she was fired in September after being repeatedly ill-treated by her seniors. Curley has claimed in her Twitter account that she was denied promotions, leadership opportunities and was shouted at intentionally.
