Facebook and PayPal bet on Southeast Asian ride-hailing firm GoJek
Facebook and PayPal have made undisclosed amount of investment in Southeast Asian ride-hailing giant Gojek, according to Techcrunch. The funding is a part of the ongoing funding round that has now brought total $3 Bn investment in the Indonesia based company. Facebook and PayPal have now joined Google and Tencent among other high-profile technology behemoths that have invested in Gojek over the years. Facebook’s investment in Gojek comes on the back of its massive investment in Indian telecom company Reliance Jio.

BBC releases the beta version its own voice assistant called ‘Beeb’
Last year, BBC announced that it is working on its own voice assistant, which will be much like on the lines of Alexa and Google Home. Now the U.K broadcaster has announced that its voice assistant, Beeb, has entered the beta version. However, the BCC has not given any exact release date of its voice assistant.
