Google settles anti-trust lawsuit in France for $220 Mn Euros

Google has agreed to pay $220 Mn Euros to French regulator, after settling one of its oldest lawsuits. French regulator has also sought commitment from Google that it will amend its online advertising practices. The search engine giant must equally not over-exploit its dominant position, the regulator added. The French lawsuit may now very well lay the precedence about how Google will go about in settling the lawsuits in other countries.

American Fintech firm Square’s CEO Jack Dorsey, who also happens to be the CEO of Twitter, has unveiled an interesting plan to bolster Bitcoin business. Dorsey has said that Square will soon roll out a hardware bitcoin wallet. This upcoming product will give consumers a better control over their crypto deposit, Dorsey said. This decision seems to have been motivated by the fact that Bitcoin’s contribution to Square’s revenue has been steadily growing.

Scores of cryptocurrency related accounts were banned on China’s social media platform Weibo over the weekend. According to reports, more stringent actions are expected from Chinese authorities in the coming week.
