Mark Zuckerberg warns Metaverse won’t earn any profit

In a recently conducted annual general meeting, Meta’s CEO and founder Mark Zuckerberg warned his investors about Metaverse’s financial implications. Zuckerberg said that Metaverse will prove to be a risky bet and it won’t earn any profit in the near future, not at least for the next 5-6 years. However, in the same meeting, Zuckerberg clarified that if everything goes well then this virtual platform can prove to be company’s cash cow in the future. It is worth noting that Meta has so far invested $10-12 Bn in this futuristic technology.

Microsoft’s Top executive accused of watching porn in the office

One of Microsoft’s top technical engineers Alex Kipman has been accused of watching a VR porn in the office. By VR porn, we certainly mean that he used a virtual reality headset for watching the porn. But the more interesting part is that he was reportedly watching this porn in front of the Microsoft employees. Not only that, he reportedly even misbehaved with some of the female colleagues immediately after watching the porn. By the way, another interesting part is that Kipman is believed to be close to Satya Nadella. Microsoft has so far not commented on this issue.

Elon Musk attacks Bill Gates for conspiring against his Twitter deal

A war is brewing between Elon Musk and Bill Gates, two of the most powerful billionaires of the world. Musk has tweeted that the world should be mindful about the vaccine promoted by Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. He further tweeted that the U.S. government should look into the funding of Bill Gates’ NGO. Musk’s swipe against Microsoft’s owner came after several media reports revealed that Bill Gates spent millions for convincing advertisers to boycott Twitter; boycott Twitter in case Musk manages to buy the microblogging platform.

Instagram goes down

Photo sharing platform Instagram faced a major outage in some parts of the world on Thursday. Instagram also confirmed the news about the outage to TechCrunch. However, most of the Indian Instagram users remained largely immune to this outage problem. Currently, there is very limited information on this matter. But unconfirmed reports claim that this outage problem was largely restricted to the U.S.

Swiggy is planning to foray into e-commerce

Foodtech delivery player Swiggy is planning to expand its services to the e-commerce space. According to The Economic Times, the Bengaluru based startup is currently beta testing a marketplace to onboard local retail stores and direct to consumer brands. Swiggy has named this e-commerce project as ‘Mini.’ Notably, Mini won’t be launched as a standalone platform but will be part of the Swiggy app. Swiggy hasn’t given an exact timeline when it plans to launch this feature.
