Musk shares maiden Video of Tesla’s new Cortex Supercomputer
Elon Musk on Monday shared a 20 second video on his X handle that showed for the first time the glimpses of Cortex, Telsa’s new AI training superclusters that is located at its headquarters in Austin, Texas. The short video showed a sprawling facility that had plethora of servers packed with Nvidia H100 GPUs. This massive facility will play a critical role in incorporating powerful AI features into Tesla as well as scaling Tesla’s FSD system. It could also help in making Tesla’s humanoid robot Optimus, which is used in Tesla’s manufacturing plant, more efficient. This short video, in a way, clearly showed just how dead serious Tesla is about investing in the AI infrastructure.

Apple iPhone 16 launch date is set on September 9
Ending the rumor mills, Apple officially announced on Monday that it will be holding a special event on September 9 at the Steve Jobs Theater for launching iPhone 16 lineup. Apple is likely to include four models in iPhone 16 – the standard model, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro & iPhone 16 Pro Max. As per the leak reports and rumors, the Pro and Max models could come with large screen display (6.3 inches screen for regular Pro and 6.9 inches for Pro Max). Another rumored feature is that there will be a dedicated capture button for taking photos and images across all iPhone 16 models. Additionally, the much talked about Apple Intelligence is likely to be integrated in iPhone 16 model as well as Apple watch 10 could also make a debut at the event.

Anthropic publishes the ‘system prompts’ that powers its AI model Claude
In an unprecedented move and a welcome step, Anthropic has released the system prompts of all its latest Claude models, including Claude 3 Opus, Claude 3.5 Sonnet and Claude 3.5 Hauke. Dated July 12, these prompts explicitly highlight what are the things that Claude models are not allowed to do. For instance, as per the prompt document shared by the Anthropic, it cannot open URLs, link or videos. This bold move by Anthropic is praiseworthy as it seeks to encourage responsible and ethical AI practices, which has become a contentious issue in the Ai Industry. Most generative AI startups including OpenAI have always been unwilling to share their system prompts.

Grok 2 adds slew of new features to its IOS app
Grok 2, which was launched last week by xAI along with Grok 2 mini, is adding bundle of new features for IOS users. IOS users can now get prompt suggestions for generating images along with ability to edit their prompt with a long press. They can also now select text by long pressing on a Grok response and get to enjoy quite a few other features alongside. IOS or iPhone users will have to update their X app to the latest 10.56 version for enjoying these features. There is still no clarity for how long Android users have to wait for enjoying these features.
