Reddit is testing a conversational AI search tool

Reddit has launched a new AI-powered search feature called Reddit Answer, which is likely to redefine the way users find information on its platform. Currently in a testing phase, Reddit Answers allows users to ask questions and receive responses. However, unlike traditional search engines that pulls information from the entire web, Reddit Answers exclusively utilizes content from public and safe-for-work subreddits. It will also provide links to related posts and communities, allowing users to explore full discussions for more context on their inquiries. Many experts have dubbed this new feature as Reddit based search engine.
