Organic Personal care brand Juicy Chemistry grabs $6.3 Mn in a Series A Round

Organic skin & personal care brand Juicy Chemistry has raised $6.3 Mn in a Series A funding round led by Belgium-based investment firm Verlinvest. This marks the largest Series A raise in the D2C beauty and personal care space, according to Juicy Chemistry’s official press release.

The Coimbatore-based startup was bootstrapped until 2019, when the firm raised its first-ever angel funding from Mr. Amit Nanavati. The angel funding gave the company the much-needed financial impetus to scale its operations and go for a bigger market share. Ever since its angel funding, the company claims, that it has seen a 300% jump in revenues for this fiscal year with a growing customer base.

Founded in 2014 by husband-wife duo Megha and Pritesh Asher, Juicy Chemistry had a very humble beginning. The startup was started from a 10×10 make-shift kitchen and with a meager investment of Rs 5,000 as well as to redefine the skincare industry. The brand offers a 100+ product range of natural and organic skincare products consisting of cleansers, moisturizers, floral waters, gourmet soaps, hair masques and many other products.
