Leading travel startup Zingbus has expanded its footprints to the western region of Maharashtra and Gujarat and has also briefly connected to parts of Madhya Pradesh and Karnataka. With this expansion, the travel startup now connects more than 100 cities across several states and has further consolidated its pan-India presence.
In the newly forayed region of Western India, Zingbus will be connecting to the cities of Rajkot, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Surat, Jamnagar, and Indore (Madhya Pradesh). In the near future, the intercity bus service provider will connect to the cities of Nashik, Aurangabad, Pune, Nagpur, Goa, Kolhapur, Shirdi, Belgaum (Karnataka).
Commenting on the latest development, Prashant Kumar, Founder & CEO, zingbus said “We are happy to have extended our services in West India providing a viable intercity bus travel services to the travellers. We have plans to gradually enter the southern region in the next 3 months as South India is the biggest market for intercity buses in India, with Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad being the biggest hubs. Till then, our focus will be on further expansion and improvement of the network in West India.”
The company further said that just delivered its 100 millionth ‘zing traveller mile’ and is growing 20% month-on-month.
Barely few weeks back, ZingBus raised undisclosed amount of funding from Oyo’s Ritesh Agarwal, Titan Capital, Better Capital, Venture Catalysts and other investors.
Established in May 2019, ZingBus aggregates fleets of buses to deliver end-to-end standardized intercity travel experience at highly affordable prices. The startups aims to redefine the inter-city bus services and the way India travels. The company claims that today it is one of the emerging brands in the inter-city bus service market. Furthermore, the company claims that it is amongst highest-rated branded bus line in the country across digital platforms and social media.
