Samsung debuts new premium tablets with AI enhancement features
Samsung has added two new products to its tablet portfolio, Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S10+. Powered by Android 14, both these premium tablets offer several AI enhancement features like Circle to Search, Handwriting assist, Note assist and Sketch to Images. Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra can also act as ‘home AI hub’ for all your smart devices in your home. All these AI features are powered by Galaxy AI, a native AI model built by Samsung. Talking about the hardware, both are packed with anti-reflective Dynamic AMOLED displays and a quad speaker. The Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra and Galaxy Tab S10+ has been priced at $1,000 and $1,200 respectively and will be available for pre-order from today before hitting the US market in the first week of October.

NoteBookLM is now capable of summarizing YouTube Videos
NoteBookLM, Google’s virtual research assistant powered by AI, has just got a new update that will allow it to summarize YouTube videos. Users can now upload educational and informative YouTube videos into their NoteBookLM account and get summaries of their videos, which they can use it for research purposes. This update comes barely weeks after NoteBookLM added audio overview feature that can turn your research into audio podcast. Following the launch of this feature, many users uploaded the podcasts on ‘X’ and praised the audio overview feature for its sheer accuracy and overall quality.

Google Maps will call out companies that use fake reviews
Although Google hasn’t confirmed the news, according to reports Google Maps will now start publicly calling out companies that use fake reviews for boosting their ratings. It will do this by labelling a warning display on company’s Google Business Profile, making customers aware that fake reviews have been removed from company’s GBP account. The displaying of warning will certainly impact the credibility of the company. Another way Google can flag the businesses is not allotting them new ratings or not allowing them to publish new reviews. If implemented, these rules could potentially help in significantly curbing the problem of fake reviews, which has been abused in the past by companies and marketers alike.

Hugging Face, an open-source platform for AI models, has crossed a historic milestone by crossing one million AI model listings. Today the open-source platforms host number of popular LLM models, which allow developers to collaborate for further improving and enhancing the capabilities of the AI models. Llama, Grok, Stable diffusion, Gemma and Whisper are some of the well-known AI models hosted by Hugging Face. The platform had a humble beginning, starting as a chatbot in 2016 before it decided to pivot to become a one stop hub for AI models.
