Car repair and solution startup GoMechanic on Tuesday unveiled a special ‘car revival package’ for car owners impacted by the ongoing COVID-19 lockdown. The company claims that this special package is especially designed for making the cars road-ready.
This package offers 2 months warranty and includes battery jumpstart/replacement and 25 points inspection, according to the statement issued by the company. It also offers oil and fluids top-up, comprehensive anti-virus sanitization and tyre & wheel care.
Along with this revival package, the company on Tuesday also announced launch of Suraksha program to show its unwavering commitment to all the precautionary measures for stemming the growth of coronavirus.
As part of this program, GoMechanic will ensure contactless pickup & delivery, regularly sanitizing workshops, providing personal protective equipment (PPE) and sanitizing all vehicles before delivery.
Commenting on the launch, Amit Bhasin, Co-Founder, GoMechanic said, “A consumer survey suggests 40% more people would prefer private vehicles over public transport post lockdown. We are constantly getting requests from our customers across India for revival services as their cars have been standing idle for too long.
Bhasin further added “It will take time for public transportation to operate and for customers to have the confidence to use them. The COVID-19 car revival package is meant to make it easier and less pinching for customers’ wallets to get their cars road-ready.”
Last month, the Gurugram headquartered startup had also started #OpenForHeroes campaign to provide technicians and mechanics for essential vehicles.
GoMechanic was founded in 2016 by Kushal Karwa and Amit Bhasin and claims to be India’s largest network of technology-enabled car service centres. The startup claims to operate more than 260+ car repair workshops across 8 Indian cities.
Last year in December, GoMechanic raised INR 106 crore in series B round led by Sequoia and Chiratae.
