The Much awaited ‘Edit’ button is coming soon on Twitter

Twitter on Tuesday made a rather very surprising announcement. The microblogging website said that it is on its way to add the ‘edit button’ on its platform. Yes, in coming months you might be able to edit your own tweet. Remember that till date Twitter does not allow its users to edit their tweets. Once you’ve tweeted anything, you’re done for the good. But all that is likely to change in the coming months. Twitter said that it has been working on the ‘edit button’ since last year and will initially test this feature on its Twitter Blue subscribers. This big announcement came on the very same day when it became official that Elon Musk has now become the largest stake holder in the microblogging company.

Britain to soon launch its own NFTS

It is now well known that NFTS, which stands for non-fungible tokens, has become a craze across the world. Many international celebrities have spent millions to buy as well as launch their own NFTs. Now Britain has decided to join the NFT bandwagon. Britain’s Finance Minister Rishi Sunak has announced that the Britain government will launch its own NFT by end of this summer. Britain’s Finance Minister said that this NFT project is a part of Britain’s long-term goal to emerge as a global leader in the crypto space. Mind you, Britain still hasn’t disclosed too many details about its upcoming NFT but has ensured that once officially launched its NFT will be brought under regulatory scrutiny.

Apple has shown interest in buying IPL media rights

According to media reports, Tech giant Apple has shown a key interest in buying the IPL media rights. Reports claim that Apple is likely to pick up the tender documents from BCCI next week. Actually Apple is not the only big tech giant that is showing interest in IPL’s media rights, other big tech giants like Amazon, Facebook and Netflix have also reportedly shown keen interest. So far neither BCCI nor none of the big tech giants have commented on this issue. Notably, these media rights are meant for the period of 2023-2027. The auction for the media rights will take place in June and is expected to fetch millions of dollars for the BCCI

Amazon signs biggest rocket deal in the commercial space history

Tech giant Amazon has announced that it has signed what it claims to be the biggest rocket deal in the history of commercial space industry. Jeff Bezos’ company has signed the deal with 3 major companies to launch as many as 83 rockets into the space. These rocket launches are meat for Amazon’s ‘Project Kuiper,’ which aims to put over 3,000 satellites in low Earth orbit. This will eventually enable Amazon to provide high-speed satellite internet across the world. What does this mean guys? This imply means that Amazon will be soon competing with Elon Musk’s Starlink company. Starlink, as we all known, also provides satellite internet services across the world.

Intel halts operation in Russia

Our last news from today’s top trending stories comes from Intel. The chip making giant Intel has announced that it will be suspending its operation in Russia with immediate effect. Intel has now joined scores of big tech companies that have boycotted Russia for its ongoing military invasion against Ukraine. Intel, however, said that it will continue to financially support its Russian employees.
