TikTok isn’t getting Banned in U.S. (not for time being)
U.S. President Donald Trump’s plan to impose complete ban on TikTok download in the U.S. has hit a legal hurdle. This after a federal court granted a preliminary injection against Trump administration’s order to impose a ban on TikTok. However, this being a preliminary injection, the ruling can be overturned anytime. That said, the U.S. federal court’s decision will give much needed reprieve to TikTok. Facebook Denounces Right-Wing bias, claims Right-Wing Content is more Engaging
Facebook has once again denounced that its algorithm is designed to favor right wing parties. The social networking giant is now claiming that right wing populism has such a strong appeal that its content organically gets more engagement; as opposed to content espoused by liberal parties. A Facebook top executive expressed these strong opinions to popular U.S. magazine Politico. Over the years Facebook has been facing relentless heat over its apparent bias towards right wing content. Elon Musk rues over Microsoft’s Exclusive Licensing of GPT-3
Elon Musk is unhappy with OpenAI’s decision to grant GPT-3’s exclusive licensing to Microsoft. Microsoft last week announced that it has been granted GPT-3’s exclusive licensing, though the company said that it won’t shunt other players from using this technology. However, not many are happy with this decision and Musk is especially unhappy. Ironically, Musk was one of the co-founders of Open Ai. Google Meet’s ‘Unlimited Meeting’ under its Free Plan is ending in next couple of days
Come September 30, Google Meet’s free users will get to schedule their meetings only for 60 minutes. This shouldn’t really come as a surprise given that Google has already announced this unlimited feature is only available till September 30th. However, many users were hoping that Google might extend this feature but their hopes have certainly being dashed.
