While Airbnb is exiting the Chinese market, Starbucks is making a similar move in Russia. The popular coffee chain company has said that it will soon shut down its business in Russia. But this has nothing to do with the COVID lockdown. Starbucks has actually joined scores of American companies that have quit the Russian market due to its ongoing military invasion against Ukraine. Starbucks reportedly has café stores in nearly 133 locations across Russia. Last week fast food chain company McDonald’s had also announced that it will also exit the Russian market.
