US Cities Under Ransomware Attack, Stolen NSA Tool At Play Here

Several US cities are under ransomware attack that is reportedly using the homegrown security agency NSA’s own tool. Experts have reported to the New York Times that these cyber attacks are using NSA’s stolen EternalBlue as the main component in ransomware. The attacks are in lines with what happened in previous major attacks such as WannaCry and NotPetya. There’s no complete list of cities that have been affected. But some of them are Baltimore, San Antonio and Pennsylvania. Link.

The World Health Organisation has said in a report that video game addiction is a mental health problem. When gamers disregard other interests in life for gaming under compulsive behaviour, it becomes a health issue and has to be taken seriously. The International Classification of Diseases (ICD), which is a department under WHO has a ready reference of diagnosable diseases. Under it, gaming addiction is defined as “a pattern of persistent or recurrent gaming behaviour” that becomes compulsive as it “takes precedence over other life interests.” Link.

A group of Finnish designers have attempted to build a pair of headphones made from fungus, bioplastics and other natural materials. The headsets main structure is built with 3D-print technology using bioplastic. It’s a byproduct of yeast that processes lactic acid. For now, it’s just a concept.
