Whistleblowers allege OpenAI NDAs’ of being ‘restrictive’ and ‘exploitative’

In what could come as a huge embarrassment for OpenAI, it has come to light that anonymous whistleblowers have written a letter to SEC accusing that OpenAI’s NDAs are too exploitative and lay unfair conditions on its employees. The letter categorically points out that the ChatGPT’s parent company compelled its staff to waive the rights to whistleblower incentives and compensation and also made it mandatory for employees to notify the company if it communicated with government regulators. It further claimed that whistleblowers have given evidence to SEC about how OpenAI’s prior NDAs were just as exploitative and restrictive. All these conditions, the letter claimed, were designed to prevent employees from raising safety concerns about OpenAI’s AI technology with federal regulators.

Donald Trump’s Meta accounts will no longer be subjected to extra scrutiny and strict content moderation following Meta’s decision to revoke all the restrictions. In its statement, Meta said that since Trump is a presidential nominee his voice deserves to be heard and needs a proper platform. Facebook and Instagram’s parent company had placed these restrictions after it decided to unsuspend Trump’s account in January last year. This decision could come as a major shot in the arm of the former US President who is once again in the pursuit of reclaiming the US’ Presidential post following his defeat to Joe Biden in 2020. Meta’s decision has come closely on the heels of assignation attempt on Trump barely few hours back.

Windows 11’s Start Menu may soon feature app categories

According to news portal XDA Developers, Microsoft is currently working to list apps in different categories rather than just a single list on Windows 11’s start menu. The apps could be displayed in relevant categories like Photos & Videos, News & Weather or Music. Microsoft might very well implement this move as it could make it easier to find specific apps, especially for those users who have installed too many programs. However, this feature is still under beta testing phase. It is being tested under the preview versions for Windows enthusiasts. There is still no official announcement that this feature will indeed arrive on Windows 11.
