Windows 8 has a long list of shortcuts for day to day needs. The article enlists all Windows 8 shortcut keys.

1. Windows key +C :  to access the charm bar.
2. Windows key + D  : Hide/Show Desktop.
3. Windows key + W : Show the Search Settings Charm..
4. Windows key + I    : Show the Settings Charm.
5. Windows key + F   : Show  the Search Files Charm.

28.Alt+ Tab : Help Switch Between running Windows.
29.Shift+Delete :  Permanently remove the selected item.
30.Shift+ Insert:  Load CD/DVD.
31.Shift + Click:  Select the item.
32. Ctrl + W : Close current Window in Windows Explorer
33. Ctrl + Z  : Undo an Action.
34. Ctrl + Y  : Redo an Action.
35. Ctrl + D : Delete selected item.
36 .Ctrl + A:  Select all items.
37. Ctrl + C:  Copy selected item.
38. Ctrl + V : Paste the selected item.
39. Ctrl N :  Open a new window.
40. Ctrl + B:  Turn on Bold.
41. Ctrl + Shift + N : Create a New Folder.
42. Ctrl + Shift+ Esc :  Open Task Manager.
43. F1:  Open  Help page.
44. F2 :  Rename a file.
45. F3 : Open Search.
46. F4 : Display the address bar list.
47. F5 : Refresh the page.
48. F7: Display command history
49. F10: Display Hidden menu bar.
50. F11: Toggle full screen display.
51. Prtsc:  Captures the image shot of the screen.
52. Home: Move to the top of the current Window.
53. End: Move to the bottom of the current Window.
54. Backspace:  Display the Previous tab/ Window.
