Cognitive development edtech startup WizKlub announced on Tuesday that it has recently onboarded Pankaj Bande as their Chief Technology Officer. Bande will be primarily responsible for leading Product Design and Learning & Development Team at Wizklub. Bande is an IT veteran, boasting more than two decades of experience in IT domain including a stint in companies like Wipro and Cognizant. His previous job with IT major Wipro mainly included a job of building conversation IoT solutions for BFSI, Healthcare & Automotive sectors.

WizKlub has till date raised nearly INR 15 Cr. The Bengaluru based company earlier this year raised INR 6 Cr in a pre-series A round while raising INR 7 Cr in a seed funding round last year.
The startup aims to build cognitive skills in kids aging from 6 to 14 years through its various programs. These programs, company claims, varying from AI & machine learning helps in fostering critical and analytical thinking among kids.
Today several Edtech companies are focusing on imparting specialized and cognitive skills among the children, since this niche is supposedly ripped with growth opportunities. Last year, this particular hogged considerable limelight after online coding startup Whitehat Jr was acquired by Byju’s in a 300 Mn deal.
