xAI ‘s Grok 2 Chatbot is now freely available to all X users
Elon Musk’s artificial intelligence startup, xAI, has announced that its upgraded Grok-2 chatbot will now be available for free to all X users. This decision marks a significant expansion of access to its AI chatbot Grok, which was till now limited only to Premium subscribers. The new Grok-2 model is reported to be three times faster than its predecessor. It can perform web searches and provide citations for accurately responding to your questions and queries. It also offers a “draw me” feature that allow users to create personalized avatars based on their profile data. While Grok-2 is accessible for free, Premium and Premium+ subscribers will continue to enjoy higher usage limits and priority access to new features

Pika labs launches Pika 2.0 with Scene Ingredients feature
Pika labs, one of the early players in the AI video generation space, has launched a new AI model called Pika 2.0. This launch comes barely few weeks after it had unveiled Pika 1.5. Pika 2.0’s standout feature is ‘Scene Ingredients’ feature. This feature allows users to upload their own images—such as people, objects, and environments—to create customized scenes in the AI-generated videos. For example, if a user uploads a photo of a person and a dog, they can instruct the AI to generate a scene depicting the person interacting with the dog. It also offers improved text alignment and motion rendering capabilities, making it easier for users to translate detailed prompts into cohesive video clips.

Google’s NotebookLM Audio Overviews will now let you call and ask question
Google’s AI productivity tool NotebookLM has been updated with several new features. This includes a new exciting feature that allow users to call in and ask questions during the playback of an AI-generated podcast. This feature is called ‘Interactive Audio Overviews.’ To ask the question, users need to create a new Audio Overview, select the Interactive mode and press ‘Join’ during playback. Separately, Google has also introduced a new premium tier called NotebookLM Plus. This new premium tier offers enhanced features, like more audio overviews, notebooks and sources per notebooks. Additionally, subscribers can also customize the style and length of their notebooks, further tailoring their experience.

OpenAI launches ChatGPT Project, allowing users to streamline files and group chats
OpenAI launched a new feature called ChatGPT Projects during the ongoing 12 days of OpenAI event. This new feature allows users to create structured projects where they can group chats, files, and custom instructions, making it easier to manage ongoing tasks and collaborate effectively. Users can initiate a project by clicking the + button next to the Projects section on the top right of the ChatGPT page. They can then name their project and customize its appearance, including the project icon’s color. ChatGPT Projects is immediately available for use for ChatGPT Plus, Pro and Team subscribers. But ChatGPT EDU and Enterprise will have to wait until next year to access this new feature.
